Weston Scott
Weston Scott is a playwright and director, hailing from the Central Coast. After graduating from UC Berkeley, he completed a directing internship at PCPA, where he had the pleasure of remounting Lend Me a Tenor- The Musical in the Solvang Festival Theater. During a brief stint in London, he worked as an assistant to musical writer Robert B. Sherman on his West End show, A Spoonful of Sherman. Upon returning to California, Weston reignited his relationship with Berkeley Playhouse, and was named one of the first Resident Teaching Artists in Fall 2018.
He is perhaps best known for writing the lyrics to Tinderella: the modern musical, which garnered 9 SFBATCC nominations including Best Production and was named a TBA Finalist for Outstanding World Premiere Musical. His two-man musical, JFK ’n Me, performs every month at PianoFight. Weston is a CA$H Grant recipient and a proud Associate Artist of FaultLine Theater.
